In 2011, the D-backs partnered with the Maricopa County Stadium District and APS to build a solar shade structure that covers 17,280 square feet above the Chase Field plaza near the ballpark's western entrances and ticket booths. The solar shade structure provides extra shade over the ballpark's heaviest used entrances and generates 100,000 kWh of solar energy, which is enough energy to power the lights at Chase Field for 11 home games. Baxter can be found at every Arizona Diamondbacks home game interacting with fans of all ages and rooting the team to victory. Baxter has been with the D-backs since 2000, and since then he has prided himself on being the most fan friendly mascot in sports. He has dedicated his life to making people laugh and creating the kind of mischief that makes coming to a D-backs game so much fun.

During the 4th inning of every D-backs game Baxter spends time at his Den, which is located in the Raising Cane’s Sandlot on the Upper Concourse at Chase Field. There, Baxter signs autographs and poses for pictures with all of his adoring fans. When you're finished, you can go play on the slides, practice your baseball skills on Futures Field, or take batting practice in the batting cages all located right outside of Baxter's Den.

Baxter also serves as an ambassador for the D-backs organization throughout the year. He ventures off the field to visit hospitals, schools, community festivals, and corporate functions across the valley and the state of Arizona. In the off season, Baxter also partners with D-backs organist Bobby Freeman and the two of them perform the "Bobby and Baxter Show" at Arizona Elementary Schools. The Show teaches kids important life lessons like making friends, following rules and staying away from drugs and bullying. In total Baxter makes appearances at over 350 games and events per year. Baxter is one busy bobcat!

The Arizona Diamondbacks have a limited number of wheelchairs available to assist guests to and from their seats. If wheelchair service is needed to transport a guest to a seat location and back to one of the gates at the conclusion of the game, please notify a Chase Field Guest Relations Representative. Due to the limited number of wheelchairs, these can only be used to transport guests and cannot be rented or borrowed to sit in while watching the game. Safety considerations limit wheelchair capacity to 250 pounds or less. Please be aware that wheelchairs are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Therefore, during periods of heavy volume, guests may be asked to wait until a wheelchair becomes available to transport them either to their seats or back to the exit they want to go to.
